LG offers a variety of plans to suit your repair needs. Our LG Premium Repair option is a flat-rate repair plan that provides immediate repair services for your LG product. Our LG Premium Repair & Protect plan provides immediate repair services plus an additional year of protection all through an extended service contract. See Terms and Conditions for complete details.
LG Premium Repair Only
The LG Premium Repair option is for mechanical or electrical malfunctions that occurred due to normal use in your home. It will cover functional parts and labor for this needed repair. It’s a flat-rate repair option, so you know the costs going into the repair. There’s a 60-day rework period on the functional parts and labor should that same failure happen again. However, after 60-days, you are solely responsible for any additional repair costs.

If the product is deemed non-repairable or not cost-effective to repair by our service technician, we will give you a full refund for the contract price, less a $100 diagnosis fee.

LG Premium Repair & Protect
The LG Premium Repair & Protect plan covers functional parts and labor for all covered mechanical and electrical failures during normal use, during the initial service event and for up to a year.

If during the initial service event the product is deemed non-repairable or not cost-effective to repair by our service technician, we will give you a full of the LG Premium Repair & Protect cost, less $100 diagnostic fee (n/a in GA).
Power surge benefits would not be covered on the initial service event, but "if you purchase the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan, we do provide benefits against power surge for any future repair need that you may need for up to $1,000. We do require that you file a claim with your homeowners/renters insurance before you submit your claim with us.
We do not provide food loss during this initial service event, however, if any future covered failures to your refrigerator or freezer are due to mechanical or electrical issues during normal use then we would provide up to $100 for food loss during the contract period. Proof of food replacement is required.
LG Premium Repair Only
If we are unable to repair your product for this initial repair need, we would refund your contract price and you would only be responsible for the $100 diagnostic fee.

LG Premium Repair & Protect
If we are unable to repair your product for this initial repair need, we would refund your contract price and you would only be responsible for the $100 diagnostic fee (n/a in Georgia). Refund of your contract purchase price, fulfills the contract in its entirety. Secondly, if you had other repair needs during the course of the year and we were unable to repair your product, we would give you a check (or a gift card in South Carolina) based on the purchase price of a replacement product with similar features, functionality and comparable quality. Replacement or issuance of cash settlement or gift card, fulfill the contract in its entirety.

TV panel repairs are excluded but if it is determined that panel repair is needed, you'll receive a $100 discount on select panel sizes. If you decline this purchase you'll be charged a $100 diagnostic fee (n/a in GA) and refund the LG Premium Repair & Protect full cost.

The check (or a gift card in SC) amount would be based on the current cost of a replacement of like kind and quality minus any depreciation. For products that are between 1 and 3 years of age, we would give you 100% of the replacement cost and for older products, the least that you would ever get is 80% of the replacement cost.
LG Premium Repair Only
It would be your best benefit to keep the plan as you have fixed cost and a certified technician. However, if you do want to cancel, as long as it’s done 24 hours prior the appointment and no claim has been filed, you will receive a full refund. If the plan is cancelled in less than 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, you could be subject to a $100 diagnostic fee. Once you have had your repair, there is nothing to cancel and you are responsible for the full payment you agreed to.

LG Premium Repair & Protect
If you choose to cancel your plan, you would just need to let us know by emailing or mailing in your cancellation request to Assurant c/o Contract Administration, P.O. Box 100, Rapid City, SD 57709-0100. Please refer to the contract Terms and Conditions that explain the cancellation procedures and fees, especially if you have already filed a claim, for the entire cancellation policy.
Yes, if you cancel you may get a refund. Refund amount may vary by state, so you have to refer to your Terms and Conditions for the applicable refund amount calculation, especially if you have already had a filed claim.
Once your payment for the contract has been processed, then you will schedule service at a time that works best for your schedule.
There is not an age limit under the Repair Only option.

Eligible product cannot be older than 7 years from the new product purchase date.

The repair only option can be purchased for commercial settings, rental units, misuse, improper installation, de-installation or repair or maintenance, however, the 60-day guarantee is not applied and you will be responsible to purchase any parts needed to complete the repair.
No. These contracts do not cover commercial appliances or appliances used in a commercial setting.
Inspection of the product is not required for the purchase of a LG Premium Repair or a LG Premium Repair & Protect plan. On the initial service even, if the technician determines the product is not repairable or it’s not cost effective to repair, you will receive a refund of your plan purchase price, less a $100 diagnostic fee (n/a in GA when you purchase the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan). Refund of your plan purchase price fulfills the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan in its entirety.

You will be required to have this information in order to obtain service on your product as well as required to complete this transaction. The model and serial can be located on the appliance. If you need assistance, you can visit www.LG.com and look for your model and serial number.
Your Coverage Statement will be delivered via email or mail. It’s much quicker to receive the Coverage Statement via email and it’s usually within 24 hours of your purchase.
Your contract number will be available after your payment is received. For a copy of your contract through email, it can take up to 48-72 hours. If you choose to have it printed, it can take up to 7-10 business days to receive it in the mail.
By purchasing this plan, you agree to receive your service contract and related communications via email. To view your documents, you must provide us with a valid email address. If you do not receive your service contract within 48 hours, or would like to request a paper copy, please contact Assurant at 1-855-227-7916.
The $100 diagnostic fee is a service fee for a technician to come to your home to determine the issue with your product. This fee will be deducted from your refund in the event your product is deemed non-repairable or not cost effective to repair during the initial service event (n/a in GA if you purchase the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan). This amount falls within the national average of appliance repairs.
The plan is provided and administered by Federal Warranty Service Corporation in all states, except FL-United Service Protection, Inc. and OK-Assurant Service Protection, Inc. All these companies operate under the trade name Assurant.
Yes, certain exclusions apply, such as:
  • Coverage on products for used for commercial purposes or used in rental units
  • Damages as a result of rust, corrosion, abuse, vandalism, theft, fire, flood, and other acts of God
  • Cosmetic damages
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Preventive maintenance

    You will be able to see service schedule options prior to purchasing a plan. Once purchased and payment has been confirmed, you can then schedule service.
    The Service Providers often have a good supply of parts and resources on hand; however, they may not have every part that may be needed to repair the appliance. They may have to order parts for proper repair and come back to complete the repair. If on the initial service event, the Service Provider determines it’s not repairable or not cost effective to repair, you will receive a refund of the contract purchase price, less a $100 diagnostic fee (n/a in GA if you purchase the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan). This refund fulfills the LG Premium Repair & Protect plan in its entirety.
    After approval, parts will be ordered and you’ll be contacted for an appointment when parts are received. You will not be charged additionally for the Service Provider to finish the repair.
